Approach

Marketplace Approach

GPN has developed a marketplace approach with four elements to support national expansion of select NPO programs.*

      1. Access to top-performing, expansion-ready programs
      2. Expansion planning and execution expertise
      3. Expansion capital (via syndication)
      4. Local support and relationships
      * GPN’s marketplace approach was derived from research over three years and conversations with more than 350 experts and leaders.

GPN’s Expansion Process Includes:

GPN’s Expansion Process

1. Select Top-performing Programs

Programs are nominated for selection by funders and issue-experts. Each will undergo a rigorous vetting process by GPN and its partners to ensure selection of programs with the highest likelihood of successful expansion and impact. Learn more

2. Growth Planning and Capacity Building

GPN helps identify and engage professional service firms to help its selected NPOs develop and execute a growth business plan and build the infrastructure necessary to support sustainable growth and quality at scale. Learn more

3. Secure Expansion Funding Via Syndication

GPN is developing a broad network of funders interested in expansion initiatives, including major foundations, philanthropists, family foundations and local funders. To raise capital, GPN syndicates expansion financing among its network of capital providers to secure a group of co-funders for each initiative's business plan. 4. Roll-out to Local Communities

GPN develops relationships with local leaders and funders to facilitate program adoption and local growth in new cities. In select cities, GPN is assembling Regional Councils that can assess incoming programs, match national funding for start-up, and generate ongoing community support.
